Mohseni Kermanshahi’s Beads, Stones and Necklaces brings together a vibrant series of works shaped by colour, light and shadow, texture, rhythm, and composition. Inspired by the strings of beads and chains of colourful stones displayed on the walls of jewellery shops in the old souqs of Muscat, the artist’s fascination with these arrangements led him to explore similar spaces across Dubai, Sharjah, and Isfahan.

For Mohseni, travel is not simply about documenting what he encounters. “I photograph and sketch when I travel but more than anything I feel the space, atmosphere and capture the soul of the place,” he explains. His works emerge from this combination of observation and experience, bringing together the colours, forms, atmospheres, and emotions he encounters within each particular environment.
