ABOUT TOTAL ARTS

Established in 1992, Total Arts is a long-standing independent art space in Dubai. In 1998, it relocated to the newly inaugurated Courtyard, becoming the first gallery in what was then the Al Quoz industrial district. Since then, it has continued to evolve alongside Dubai’s cultural landscape.

Rooted in the region yet open to wider cultural exchange, Total Arts brings together established and emerging artists across generations, cultures, and disciplines. Its program extends beyond conventional gallery practice, embracing a broad range of artistic and cultural expressions.

For more than three decades, Total Arts has remained an in-between space—a place for dialogue, experimentation, collaboration, and Guided by curiosity, openness, and long-term relationships with artists.

Housed within the distinctive environment of the Courtyard, it remains a place for art to be encountered, questioned, shared, and experienced —continuing to evolve while preserving the spirit of openness and possibility with which it began.
