Dreamworld

Ramtin Zad

May 2009

“Dreamworld” is the visualization of Ramtin’s dreams. Ramtin Zad involves the viewer in his mystical figurative dreamworld expressed in a labyrinthine and colorful richness of images overwhelmed by symbolic and references which make the viewer rather grin than fear. Zad calls this dedication “the absolute”, when man no longer struggles between reality and dream but crosses the tangible world.

The only real and active elements in his paintings, portrayed in natural colors, are women trying to tame power with words of advice. Others observe and witness violence and the revolt of beauty against it. Trying to interpret and finding the truth in Zad’s imaginary paintings, the viewer will lose themselves, realizing that everybody and everything they perceive is subjective and imaginary.

The exhibition is organized in collaboration with Massoud Nader.
