Yasmin Sinai is a contemporary artist whose practice transforms paper and cardboard into dynamic sculptures and immersive installations. Working with a material that is at once strong and fragile, Sinai explores its capacity to be shaped, layered, cut, and constructed into elaborate worlds that are both theatrical and poetic.

Rooted in the ancient Persian traditions of storytelling and performance, her work brings historical narratives into dialogue with the present. Her carefully constructed scenes often feature contemporary heroines and female warriors, combining elements of fantasy, drama, and realism to create narratives that feel at once familiar and otherworldly.

Sinai’s work has been exhibited internationally and was included among fifty contemporary artists featured in In the Field of Empty Days: The Intersection of Past and Present in Iranian Art at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA).
